I'd like to hear about your successes and challenges with Adobe Captivate. Being an instructor for Captivate, I've had the opportunity to learn from both the formal curriculum and also from random partners, customers and friends the different ways to push the envelope with what you can do with Captivate. I've always learned the most useful tricks and tips from the people I meet each week compared to what I've learned from more formal training. We hope that this support site provides everyone with a medium to share ideas and learn more.
Meaning Can we populate Caption Bubbles via XML or Text files.
My thought process is to have a transparent caption area in the lower left hand corner of a movie, that pulls the movie Description from an XML file and autopopulates the Caption Bubble.
Now I understand what your are asking. The easy answer is no, not natively in Captivate. The only way I can think to do it is to import your project into Flash and then use actionscript to make this happen. Apart from executing some javascript code from within a project, there just isn't a lot of really fancy coding you can do. Does this help?
Yep sure does - I have been using captivate since version 1 and have come up with my own E-learning movies. So I was very interested in today Hoping that I'd learn soem new stuff, which I did. So thank you very much for that. I plan on haning around your forums quite a bit. Nice to finally come across some fellow captivators.
I'm glad it was useful. Welcome to the site. As you can see, we just set it up like a week ago, so there isn't a lot of content yet. We wanted to have a forum/blog area where folks could feel free to discuss anything content/elearning related rather than being focused only on one product. So, tell your friends :>)
