Hey group,

If there is anyone using moodle as an LMS, do you know how to give users access to the calendar feature when they first get to the frontpage site? Currently in my moodle configuration, if you click on a calendar event, the site asks the user to login, and since not all of our staff have access, (yet) is there a way we can make it possible for them to see just the calendar feature from that front page, without logging in?
Cheers,

Keith

Keith. I don't believe Moodle supports that "out of the box". We have done some customizations similar to what your are describing for the html blocks and the verify certificate blocks that allow you to set visibility based on a users role. We set non logged in users as anonymous so we can filter visibility for them using this feature. This whole set up would require custom coding so let me know if you would like to meet on this.

Thanks Matt!
I looked at the frontpage settings and by listing the frontpage user as a student they were able to look at the calendar, but not the course without logging in. Brilliant!
Thanks so much!
